True Colors Symphony
It is our differences that make us shine
True Colors Symphony (TCS) is a symbol of hope and heal our disabilities on the inside. TCS is an all-inclusive orchestra comprising talented musicians with and without special needs. TCS creates a platform for the inclusion of people who are different. The orchestra offers a channel for musicians to learn and share music with others. More importantly, we support inclusion, celebrate differences, and demonstrate abilities and excellence we can achieve together. Apart from musicians without special needs, community of the autism, blind, deaf, elderly, ethnic minority, intellectually impaired and physically handicapped are also contributing the formation of True Colors.
True Colors Symphony is comprising a wide range of western instruments from strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. We also welcome singers and choir members. Special needs musicians who show potential in music would have a chance receiving grant from the foundation further their musical training.
The first performance of True Colors Symphony is taking place at concert hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre on January 12, 2020.
Making the World a Better Place
Education is to lead out one's potential to show us what they are capable of instead of what they are expected to be. It is our differences that make us shine. We are convinced that the world needs more empathy for a better place and positive values are to be instilled in children in young age.
The True Colors Symphony advocates social inclusion and is strongly believed that social inclusion is reciprocal. Everyone of us should be given the opportunity to experience and exposure interacting people who are different.
