Melody for Kindness Concert

“Melody for Kindness” is a concert event that celebrates the power of music to spark kindness and deepen understanding of neurodiversity. Held in alignment with Neurodiversity Celebration Week, it brings together schools, families, and community partners to recognise the unique strengths and talents of neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, visually impaired and other learning differences.

Inspired by the tender, imaginative world of Joe Hisaishi’s Studio Ghibli music — especially “My Neighbor Totoro”, where only children can see what adults cannot — the concert reminds us that each child’s inner world is real and precious, and that every student with different learning needs, sensory experiences, and unique strengths deserves to be seen, understood, and supported.

Through uplifting performances by youth orchestras, wind ensembles, youth choirs, pop bands, and selected groups featuring SEN children, “Melody for Kindness” will open an imaginative space where every kind of mind can grow safely, express freely, and feel empowered to shine, with music becoming a gentle presence of support for SEN and neurodivergent students and their families.
